Welcome to the FreeStuff Developer Services

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”, “Policy”) are a legal agreement between FreeStuff (“we”, “us”) and you, the user. By using any of our Developer Services (“Service”, “Product”, “API”), you agree that you have read, understood, and accepted to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. You understand that these Terms are an addition to the regular FreeStuff Terms of Service, which still apply to your relation with FreeStuff’s Developer Services.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any point in time to add, modify, or remove legal requirements. If the aforementioned changes affect your usage of FreeStuff’s Developer Services, we will notify you at least seven days prior to those changes taking effect. Unless stated otherwise, continuing to use the Service after modifications to the Terms will display your agreement and acceptance to those changes.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally an adult in your jurisdiction. Use of the FreeStuff API is limited to individuals residing in the European Economic Area (EEA), Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Canada, or the United States of America. By using the API, you represent and warrant that you meet these criteria.

2. Access and Usage Tiers

The FreeStuff API offers multiple access tiers. Each tier grants access to a defined subset of features, usage limits, and rights, including limitations around webhook count, access methods, and usage rights. Details of each tier, including limitations and capabilities, are displayed in your account dashboard. Commercial use is only permitted under the designated Commercial Tier or with explicit written authorization from FreeStuff.

3. Permitted Use

Use of the API is only permitted within the scope of your current access tier.

  • Personal use is defined as use in hobby, educational, or private projects that do not involve direct or indirect monetization.
  • Personal projects must be privately maintained and must require the project owner’s explicit individual permission for others to use or access it.

4. Restrictions

You agree to the following restrictions:

  • You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise modify or interfere with the API or its responses.
  • You may not redistribute, rehost, or re-expose FreeStuff API data in any machine-readable or automated format, such as APIs, feeds (e.g., RSS/Atom), or scraping endpoints.
  • You may not share your API key, login credentials, or access tokens. Each user must register separately and generate their own credentials.
  • Self-hosted tools or clients using the API must enforce user-specific credentials and must not proxy or tunnel access on behalf of others.

5. Data & Liability

  • The data provided by the FreeStuff API is offered “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied.
  • FreeStuff does not guarantee the correctness, completeness, legality, non-infringement, or fitness for a particular purpose of any data accessed through the API.
  • Use of the data is entirely at your own risk.
  • You may cache and store data locally; however, all redistributions remain subject to the restrictions above.
  • FreeStuff accepts no liability for any damages, losses, or legal claims resulting from your use or publication of the data, including but not limited to copyright violations, misrepresentation, or business impacts.

6. Attribution

Attribution to FreeStuff is not mandatory, but it is strongly encouraged and appreciated. Projects that publicly display or rely on data provided by the API are asked to consider visibly crediting FreeStuff where reasonable.

7. Suspension & Termination

  • FreeStuff reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access at any time, without prior notice, for any reason including, but not limited to, violations of these Terms.
  • FreeStuff retains the right to immediately and permanently disable your access to its Developer Services if any of these Terms are violated.
  • Suspension or termination of paid tiers is subject to FreeStuff’s separate Refund Policy.

8. Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Germany. Any disputes arising from or in connection with this agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Germany.

9. Takedown Requests

If you believe that your intellectual property rights have been infringed by content made available via the FreeStuff API, please contact [email protected]

Include sufficient information to identify the material and your rights. Requests will be reviewed and handled as promptly as possible.
